Interior Design

The versatile character of the BMW M5 Touring is also reflected in its interior, with the typical M-style details creating a fascinating atmosphere. The signature layout of the instrument panel, subtly enhanced by illuminated, white scale rings and red needles, and the exclusive luxury of Merino leather upholstery. M seats for perfect support and the M steering wheel with gear-change keys provide sports-style ergonomics.

M Drivelogic sequential gearbox

For people who like to drive Formula One-style. The BMW M5 Sedan's 7-speed SMG Drivelogic system features gear-change keys on the steering wheel and a selection lever on the central console. Gears change within milliseconds, without having to reduce speed, decrease engine power or use a clutch. Special functions such as slip recognition or hill recognition adapt to the gear shift points required by the given driving conditions. Maximum acceleration comes courtesy of Launch Control: it ensures that speed is maintained across the entire range of gear changes.

The New 2008 BMW M5 is equipped with 18-way power-adjustable BMW M sport front seats, including adjustable seatback side bolsters, headrests, 4-way lumbar and 2-way thigh support, and 2-setting memory system for both front seats.

Audio System

It's a sound experience as remarkable as the BMW driving experience. Unlike traditional stereo systems, Logic7 routes two-channel (stereo) sound through a seven-channel playback matrix to create 360-degree Surround Sound. The anti-theft AM/FM stereo CD/MP3 player audio system includes 13 upgraded speakers (including 2 subwoofers), Digital Sound Processing (DSP), Radio Data System (RDS), Auto-Store and 3-channel FM diversity antenna, and it displays MP3 song title and artist.

Voice Command System

This system allows you to dial, add or delete stored telephone numbers hands-free. It can also activate numerous navigation system functions and record up to five minutes of notes. The Voice Command button must be pressed before each use, so conversations won't accidentally activate the phone or other systems.

On Board Navi System with RTTI

With the route taken care of, you can concentrate on more important things - like enjoying every twist and turn along the way. Our optional onboard navigation system, controlled via iDrive, uses GPS satellites, a DVD map and, where available, Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) to guide you to your destination. Choose the fastest route, the shortest route or the one that avoids traffic.

2008 BMW M5

The 2008 BMW M5 is a 4-door luxury sports sedan which seats 5 passenger. The M5 is equipped with a 5.0 litre V10 engine which produces 500-hp and 383 ft-lbs of torque. It has a 7-speed SMG transmission or a 6-speed manuel transmission and an aluminum chasis. The SMG allows for a true manual transmission without a clutch pedal. The BMW M5 is capable of a 0-100 km/s time of 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
